A church-by-church bill
No arena tour. The route ran through Ebenezer Baptist, Greater Mt. Calvary, Shiloh, Brookland, Empowerment Temple, Sharon, and a dozen more.
A fan archive of the 2017 reunion tour that crossed thirty-plus cities — Bishop Hezekiah Walker, Israel Houghton, and a roll call of Black church sanctuaries from Pittsburgh to Shreveport, Memphis to Decatur.
What was here
From summer through late 2017, Every Praise Gets Better moved through more than thirty cities — anchored by Bishop Hezekiah Walker, joined by Grammy-winning worship leader Israel Houghton, and hosted not by amphitheatres but by congregations.
The reunion tour kicks off — Pittsburgh, Newark, Washington DC. Three sanctuaries in three nights.
The South and Midwest leg: Jacksonville, Norfolk, Shreveport, Dallas, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Cleveland, Columbus.
The autumn run: St. Louis, Richmond, Baltimore, Houston, Dallas (second pass), Philadelphia, Decatur.
The site went quiet, then dark. The domain has bounced through reseller pools ever since.
Artifact
The same image ran on the homepage, the favicon, and every show page. A reminder that gospel-tour design language in 2017 still meant something loud, primary-colored, and unmistakably alive.

From the archive
Three images, recovered from the Wayback Machine snapshots of the live WordPress site (2017–2025). Everything else — the show-page flyers, the Facebook event posters, the embedded promo videos — is gone.
What this is
No arena tour. The route ran through Ebenezer Baptist, Greater Mt. Calvary, Shiloh, Brookland, Empowerment Temple, Sharon, and a dozen more.
Bishop Hezekiah Walker and Israel Houghton — Brooklyn gospel and Pentecostal worship, in the same building, on the same night.
This site is not the tour. The tour is over. This is a quiet attempt to keep the route, the dates, and the venues from disappearing entirely.
A note from the archivist
The Every Praise Gets Better Reunion Tour is over. Bishop Hezekiah Walker is still leading worship; Israel Houghton is still on the road. If you sang at one of these services, took a photo, or kept a flyer — get in touch. We're trying to keep the picture from fading.
